Daughter of Saran and Sabitri Tamang from Darjeeling, Srijana and her parents are currently based in Orissa as her father works there, and even though she is only 13, she has already won sporting awards for her brilliant performances. Most notably she was awarded Kumudini Krida Prativa award at the 2nd Sportslogon Sports Award, Orissa in 2013.
