Indore : A youth, hailing from Darjeeling, died when a speeding car hit him on Barfani Dham road on Sunday evening. The police have seized the car and search is on for the driver.
According to Vijay Nagar police, the youth was identified as Naveen Lama (25). Naveen hailed from Darjeeling and resided in Malviya Nagar with his friend Nirup in a rented accommodation.
Naveen was employed at a hotel in the city. His wife is employed at a beauty parlor in Dubai and his mother and younger brother live in Darjeeling. His father had passed away some time back. Naveen was walking to his apartment on Sunday evening when a speeding car hit him. After the accident the car driver fled the scene. Naveen sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital in an 108 Ambulance.

Naveen’s friend said that they were waiting for the arrival of Naveen’s wife from Dubai and then will decide as to where his cremation is to take place.
