Two quarterfinal matches of the ongoing Inter-Constituency Rural Football Tournament 2014 were played at the Jorethang Ground here today. The first match was played between Salghari-Zoom and Rangang-Yangang, while the second match featured Melli and Berfung.

In an exciting match, Salghari-Zoom won the quarterfinal through a tiebreaker by 5-4 and progressed to the semifinal. Meanwhile, in the second match, Berfung team dominated the proceedings and won the match by 2-0 to make a place for itself in the semifinal.
The other two quarterfinal matches of the tournament will be played on Monday, the first match will be between Yaksom-Tashiding and Yangthang, while Daramdin and Gyalshing will lock horns in the second. The final match of the tournament, organised by the Jorethang Maghey Sanskrati Mela Committee, is scheduled to take place on January 16, 2014.
