Nagaland : Network of Mokokchung District People Living with HIV&AIDS (NMP+) organized a sensitization programme on HIV&AIDS and TB June 8 at Gorkha community hall in collaboration with Mobile ICTC, CSS T. Temsu Jamir, president NMP+, Dr. Amenla, MO, ARTC, IMDH and Toshi Sangpi, advisor NMP+ as the resource persons.
Resource persons shared on assorted topics such as Basic of HIV&AIDS and HIV-TB co infection, HIV scenario of Mokokchung, care and treatment and on impact of stigma and discrimination.
Earlier, the session was facilitated by Peter Aley, project coordinator- Vihaan, NMP+, welcome speech was delivered by B.B. Gurung, president, Gorkha Mandir and Rongsen, counselor CSS shared the importance of knowing ones status and later encouraged the gathering for testing.
The programme witnessed discussion hour and HIV testing was from all participants and the commitment of the community to support in the fight against HIV.
