Capt JB Karki (retd), national president of the (ABRGM) Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Gorkha Morcha Party, today said the Gorkha Kalyan Parishad would be constituted for the uplift of the Gorkha community. He told media-persons that the party was concerned at the dropping of Bahun and Chettri castes from the list of OBC list issued by the Union government.

Karki said the state government would request the Union government to give OBC benefits to all castes of the Gorkha community. He said unemployed youths of the Gorkha community would be trained and prepared for Army recruitment rallies at the Gorkha Training Centre in Dehradun.
He added a memorandum would be submitted to officials of the State Election Commission demanding inclusion of names and other particulars of Gorkha residents in the voter list.
He said a drive would be launched to create awareness among the community members about the beneficiary schemes of the state government. Subhan Verma, Atul Singh, Yajveer Singh, Anooj Singh and Kamlesh were present.
