Sikkim: Temi police has arrested a 21 year old man, Man Bahadur Chhetri for sexually assaulting a 14 year old child on April 19.
Man Bahadru is a resident of Tahnsing, South Sikkim, and has been sent to 15 days’ remand by the South District Magistrate.
According to the police, the victim, a 14-year-old resident of Thansing had gone to the nearby shop to buy candles at around 6 pm when the accused pounced on her and sexually assaulted her.
The incident took place on Saturday evening in between the house of the accused and the victim at around 6 pm and a complaint was lodged by the victim’s family on Sunday.
