Manipur: Gorkha janmukti Morcha (GJM) chief Bimal Gurung said that on behalf of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha and the people of Darjeeling, I thank the greater Manipuri society for standing by the Gorkhalis in demanding justice for the 13 year old who was brutally raped in Kanglatongbi. I request the government of Manipur to fast track the prosecution of the culprit. I also request our Gorkhali brothers and sisters in Manipur to maintain law and order. Our prayers are with the rape survivor, her family and the people recupirating from police firing. Our sincere condolences to the family of Late. Tilak Poudyal who lost his life in police firing. We request the Government of India and the Manipur Government to constitute a judicial inquiry into indiscriminate police firing on the peaceful protesters.
